Aimbridge Hospitality Chosen to Rebrand and Manage Additional Resort in Jamaica

Leading Hotel Management Firm is reinventing the resort as Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort

June 13, 2012 - Aimbridge Hospitality, one of the nation's leading independent hotel management and investment firms, announced today that it has been chosen to rebrand and manage the Breezes Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.

The property was recently purchased by Sagicor Life Jamaica as the Breezes Runaway Bay Resort and is currently being rebranded as a branch of Jewel Resorts, Aimbridge Hospitality's all-inclusive brand.

Aimbridge Hospitality's resort division will now manage both Jewel Resorts properties in Jamaica, The Jewel Dunn's River Beach Resort & Spa in Ocho Rios and Jewel Runaway Bay Beach & Golf Resort.

Aimbridge Hospitality launched its resort division one year ago, and Jewel Runaway Bay Beach & Golf Resort represents their sixth asset in the resort portfolio.

The all-inclusive, 266-rooms and suites Jewel Runaway Bay is tucked away on more than 22 lush oceanfront acres on Jamaica's famed North Coast. Each room and suite features private balconies overlooking tropical gardens or pool. The resort plans to include man family features for guests by the end of 2012 in addition to the all-inclusive experience, which incorporates all meals and snacks at a variety of restaurants and bars, including sushi, Italian, Jamaican and tepanyaki cuisines. Several Jewel Resorts signature extras will also be included, such as: swim-up pool concierges, evening Dive-In Movies (complete with Jamaica Jerk Popcorn), dining under the stars, Gem of the Day (the resort's signature cocktail concoctions), Gems entertainment staff, Bling! Nightclub and Treasure Chest gift shop.

The Jewel Runaway Bay Beach and Golf Resort boasts three freshwater pools, including a beachfront infinity edge pool with a swim-up bar; four tennis courts; a game room with ping pong and pool tables; a fitness center with both equipment and aerobics classes; meeting space for up to 200 people; a water sports operation center that offers snorkeling, ski boats, windsurfing and kayaking; and PGA-rate 18-hole, par 72 Jewel Golf Course.
