Mayfair Hotel & Spa Announces New Group Sales and Catering Team Members
Luxury Coconut Grove hotel appoints Cecilia Orbegozo, Steven Bumpus and Neal Carter
May22, 2012 - Mayfair Hotel & Spa, an upscale AAA Four Diamond Awarded boutique hotel located in the heart of Coconut Grove, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cecilia Orbegozo to Associate Director of Sales, Steven Bumpus as the Director of Catering & Conference Services and Neal Carter as the new Group Sales Manager.
“We are very pleased to announce the addition of these three strong hospitality executives to our team here at the Mayfair,” said Saun Lightbourne, executive director of sales & marketing. “We're looking forward to the success that we can all achieve together, working towards our sales goals and also reintroducing the hotel after the current multi-million dollar soft goods enhancement takes place in all 179 suites, to be completed in the fall.”
Cecilia Orbegozo will assist the director of sales & marketing in training, market development, new business identification, group client retention, group promotion and sales team motivation. Orbegozo brings many years of experience as a director of sales at several hotels within the South Florida market and will maintain booking goals, as well as continue to handle her current markets and deployment to enhance and increase group sales revenues with a very strong focus on the Midwest markets.
Steven Bumpus leads the social catering, conference services and special events teams in attracting high-end social events, corporate meetings and conventions. He joins the Mayfair Hotel & Spa with an extensive background in event management including Director of Catering at Jungle Island/ Treetop Ballroom, Director of Events and Operations at the Eden Roc Renaissance Resort & Spa, Director of Catering at the Omni Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables and Director of Catering at the Grand Bay Hotel of Coconut Grove.
Neal Carter comes to the Mayfair from the Hilton Mclean Tyson's Corner in Virginia, where he contributed to hotel sales of one million dollars for three consecutive months as sales manager. Additional experience includes sales manager at Modus Hotels in Washington, D.C. and manager of operations at Nike, Inc. in Sunrise, Fla.
