“Design Spring” - The Challenges and Opportunities of Developing the Middle East's Hospitality Scene
With the advent of Arab Spring in 2011, the future of tourism in the region is uncertain, yet promising. GETTYS has many years dealing with the Middle East and with offices throughout the region and a successful procurement project under their belt in Saudi Arabia. Meg joins a panel of thought leaders to share the GETTYS experience. By delineating the success of Dubai hotels and restaurants, they will discuss Abu Dhabi's parallel rise, as well as the burgeoning design scenes in Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait. Made in America: Reintroducing Manufacturing to the Hospitality Industry
Is it really the time to reintroduce manufacturing to the hospitality industry from the standpoint of 'Made in America'? Jason's almost dozen years of procurement experience ranges from military through to hospitality. He joins a panel of hospitality professionals within design, procurement, ownership, and manufacturing as they discuss a variation of topics concerning manufacturing in the U.S. from lead time, product consistency, design intent and communications to politics, jobs and sustainability in manufacturing.

Principals Karrie Drinkhahn and Duk Kim, and teams from all the GETTYS offices will be attending the conference and visiting the show floor to meet with vendors, hospitality owners and operators. All principals are available for interviews with the media to discuss the above topics as well as their new projects awarded and some of their spectacular recently completed properties.
