Fred Cerrone Named to Board of Directors of Atlanta Hospitality Alliance

ATLANTA - December 23, 2011 - At its December meeting, the Atlanta Hospitality Alliance (AHA) named Fred Cerrone to its Board of Directors. Mr. Cerrone serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Hotel Equities (www.hotelequities.com ), an Atlanta-based hotel management, development and consulting firm.
Mr. Cerrone joins a distinguished group of Atlanta hospitality industry executives on the board of the organization that was formed in 2009 with a focus on professional development, networking and charitable endeavors. Monty Levy, Senior Vice President at HREC Investment Advisors, serves as president of AHA.

Fred Cerrone's hospitality career spans a four-decade progression from desk clerk at Boston's largest hotel to managing operations for hotels throughout the country to launching Hotel Equities, his own company, in 1989. A general manager at age 21 and twice recognized as "General Manager of the Year" by national hotel franchises, Mr. Cerrone has hospitality in his blood. After many years in key positions with top hotels, he founded Hotel Equities and became a Marriott franchise partner. Other major franchise partnerships soon followed. With more than 40 hotels in its portfolio at present, Hotel Equities continues its successful growth.
Mr. Cerrone holds an M.B.A. from Georgia State University and an A.S. in hotel and restaurant management from Miami Dade College. He holds the prestigious Certified Hotel Administrator designation through the American Lodging Association. Cerrone also serves on the advisory board for Georgia State University's Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality, and the Robinson College Board of Advisors.
