Ski-Swim-Stay Packages at Glenwood Hot Springs
This winter, ski, swim, stay and get the spa treatment at Glenwood Hot Springs. The resort's top-selling package combines the best Glenwood Hot Springs and Spa of the Rockies have to offer with skiing at Sunlight Mountain Resort.
Glenwood Springs, CO - December 15, 2011 - Relax, it's all part of the package. For over 125 years Glenwood Hot Springs has been helping visitors unwind, de-stress and have fun. This year the resort continues the ski-swim-stay tradition, where one child, ages 3-12, skis for free* with a paying adult, and gives guests the new option of adding on spa services at the award-winning Spa of the Rockies. It's just one more way Glenwood Hot Springs is giving its guests the spa treatment. When guests book a ski-swim-stay package, in addition to skiing at Sunlight Mountain Resort, they enjoy unlimited admission to the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool, complimentary made-to-order breakfast at the poolside restaurant, newly remodeled rooms with cushy spa-quality ambiance and, if they choose, a massage, facial or other spa treatment at the Spa of the Rockies.
“A Spa of the Rockies treatment is a highlight for so many of our guests. Now our ski-swim-stay participants can book their spa treatments when they book their packages, and relax knowing all they have to do is show up,” said Jeremy Gilley, Director of Sales and Revenue for Glenwood Hot Springs and Spa of the Rockies
Located in the historic sandstone bathhouse, Spa of the Rockies is the newest addition to Glenwood Hot Springs. Since it opened in 2008, it has captured the attention of spa goers across the country. In fact, at the most recent International Spa Association conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, Spa of the Rockies was honored with Readers' Choice awards from both SpaFinder and Spa magazine. Ski-swim-stay guests can enhance their lodging and activities package by adding on a spa treatment from Spa of the Rockies. Popular choices include the Rockies River Warm Stone massage, the Grapeseed Body Revitalizer, and the Rosehip and Maize Gentle Renewal Facial; there are dozens of treatments and services from which to choose.
Adding to the spa-like mood, ski-swim-stay guests can look forward to extraordinary new accommodations at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge. All 107 rooms have been completely transformed, and are now ready to welcome guests. The $2 million floor-to-ceiling renovations were modeled after the Spa of the Rockies, and feature a soothing new color scheme, cozy down comforters atop premium mattresses, and artwork that captures the natural beauty of thermal springs. Granite countertops and showers decorated with luminous glass accents are highlights in the bathrooms. In addition to the overall aesthetics, every room has been upgraded to accommodate today's media and technology demands. Guests will find 42-inch flat screen televisions that are HDMI and Cat-5 compatible, bedside iPod docking stations, and reading lights installed in the mahogany headboards. All rooms are equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, coffeemakers, hair dryers and in-room safes. Every stay at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge includes a full, made-to-order breakfast that makes getting energized for a day on the slopes — and out the door — tasty and convenient.
Glenwood Hot Springs' ski-swim-stay package is a favorite winter package for good reason. With prices starting as low as $107 per night*, per person (based on double occupancy), it's a great value that includes two of Glenwood Springs' top attractions: skiing at Sunlight Mountain Resort and swimming at the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. Sunlight Mountain Resort, just 20-minutes from the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge's front door, is ideal for families. Featuring predominately intermediate runs, with enough easy and expert terrain to keep everyone entertained, all runs funnel to the base area, making it simple to meet up for lunch or gather the troops at the end of the day. There's even a Sunlight shuttle bus that picks up and drops off skiers and snowboarders at the Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge for guests who don't want to drive.
After a day on the slopes, there's no better way to warm up and relax than with a soak in the Glenwood Hot Springs Pool. The therapy pool, cooled to a toasty 104 degrees, soothes tired muscles. For those who still have energy to spare, try the big pool, which is kept at a comfy 90 to 93 degrees; there are lap swimming lanes, plus a diving board and plenty of room to splash. The pool is open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
