Colorado's Sheraton Steamboat Resort Welcomes New Executive Chef
Chef Scoff Przymus celebrating Colorado cuisine at Sevens Mountain Grill
November 29, 2011 - The Sheraton Steamboat Resort - Steamboat's only full-service luxury ski-in/ski-out resort and conference center - is pleased to announce that it has hired Chef Scott Przymus to serve as Executive Chef, overseeing all food and beverage offerings at the resort.
A graduate of Colorado Mountain College's culinary program and the hospitality management program at California's American River College, Chef Przymus joins the Sheraton Steamboat from Keystone Resort, where he has been since 2006, most recently serving as the Executive Chef at The Inn at Keystone.
Chef Przymus has created a new concept for Sevens Mountain Grill at the Sheraton Steamboat, designing a menu replete with Colorado-sourced beef, seafood and produce that will change seasonally. Sevens, which features a light-filled dining room offering gorgeous Mount Werner views, is now open for the winter season serving breakfast, and dinner daily. Signature dishes available this winter include Bear Mountain Buffalo Filet, which is served pepper seared with sauteed spinach, bleu cheese, caramelized onions, port poached pear and balsamic reduction and the Herb Seared Pork wings with roasted red potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
He will also oversee service in the resort's Saddles Lounge, and 28,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space.
The Sheraton Steamboat features 188 guest rooms and suites with a modern feel, including new furniture, LCD flat panel televisions and updated bathrooms. Each room features the “Sheraton Sweet Sleeper II,” which consists of a luxurious mattress and 300 thread count linens, as well as oversized leather chairs and ottomans, armoires and a workstation. The bathrooms feature a freestanding wood vanity with cream-colored stone top, soft lighting and the “Shine by Sheraton” line of upscale bath amenities.
Other amenities at the resort include ski valet and storage, seven outdoor hot tubs and an outdoor heated pool, Sheraton fitness programmed by Core Performance, wireless high-speed Internet access, Play, game room, Link @ Sheraton experienced with Microsoft and golf pro shop. The Rocky Mountain Day Spa at the Sheraton Steamboat Resort offers a full menu of relaxing spa treatments, including massage, body cocoons and facials.
The Sheraton Steamboat also features 21 luxurious two- and three-bedroom Resort Villas, all with large floor plans, full kitchens and private balconies offering magnificent mountain views. Managed by Starwood Vacation Ownership, Inc., each villa is completely furnished with flat panel televisions in the living room and master bedroom, a two-sided gas fireplace, a dining table with seating for eight, stainless steel appliances and a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer.
