Langkawi, Malaysia - November 9 , 2011 - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT), one of the leading hotel and leisure companies in the world and Global Upline Hotels & Resorts proudly announced their first Four Points by Sheraton property in Langkawi - the new Four Points by Sheraton Langkawi resort. Officiated by Guest of Honor, Y.A.B. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, former Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Four Points by Sheraton Langkawi made its debut as the first Four Points by Sheraton resort in the Asia Pacific region on 4 November 2011.

The Four Points by Sheraton Langkawi Resort is situated in a secluded idyllic beach, just a mere 1.5 kilometers away from the Langkawi International Airport and, within walking distance to the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre.

Featuring a gorgeous view, a sitting area, and at least 43 square meters of space, each of our 214 rooms is bright, cheerful, and stylishly designed with contemporary touches. The centrepiece is the oh-so-comfy Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort™ Bed, with a plush mattress, down sleeping pillows, a cosy duvet, and crisp 250-thread-count sheets. Lounge furniture, in rich berry or refreshing citrus hues, adds warmth to the room. A writing desk blends seamlessly into the overall decor. Stay in touch with wired and wireless High Speed Internet Access, and enjoy the entertainment options on an LCD flat screen television. The bathroom features separate areas for the toilet, bathtub and rain shower.

The Comfort Room (measures 43 square meters) —available in King or Twin set-up—skips the bells and whistles, but not quality. Equipped with the same amenities as Comfort Rooms, Sea View and Partial Sea View Rooms are located on the first and second floors and look out to a beautiful beach. The Lanai Rooms, situated on the first floor, feature spacious private Lanais, which provide easy access to outdoor facilities including the largest infinity pool on the island.

Junior Suites (measures 73 square meters) give you the space you need to work or relax, including a spacious private balcony and a direct sea view. The Premier Suite and the Premier Deluxe Suite are perfect for business travellers, families, or those who just like to have room to enjoy. Each suite provides a modern lounge, a dining area, a bedroom, and a spacious bathroom. Both the lounge and the bedroom have an LCD flat screen television. Additionally, Premier Deluxe Suites (measures 86 square meters) have private balconies with clear sea views.

Alternatively, live it up in a two-bedroom Four Points Suite (measures 190 square meters), where you can enjoy the comforts of home with added frills. Both bedrooms have an LCD flat screen television, and the living room includes a lounge area and a dining table.

The Eatery is the resort's all day dining restaurant, serving a wide array of local and international flavors on its breakfast and dinner buffet spreads. Alternatively, guests are spoilt for choice from an extensive a la carte lunch menu or can choose to opt for light snacks at Wrapped. To beat the island heat, we recommend a cold mug of beer from the selections of Best Brews(SM) at The Lounge.

The Kids Club takes care of the younger ones whilst parents chill out at the beach or take a dip in the 1680-square-meter infinity swimming pool, which is the largest infinity pool in Langkawi.
