Bethesda, Maryland - November 1, 2011 - Marriott International, Inc. (NYSE:MAR; http://www.marriott.com) opened the 150-suite SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Birmingham, Alabama on Thursday, October 27, 2011. Located at 2024 Fourth Avenue South, the former Downtown Hyatt Place will operate as a Marriott franchise, managed by Ascent Hospitality of Dalton, Georgia.
