Crowne Plaza Marlow Recognized for Work with Young People

UNITED KINGDOM, July 9, 2005. Crowne Plaza Marlow is delighted to have been awarded one of the very first Bucks Free Press Edge Employer Awards for their excellent work with young people.

Crowne Plaza Marlow has won the award within the category for medium-sized organizations (under 250 employees). Della Fanning, Personnel and Training Manager was delighted with the news, saying, "From July 2004 we have supported 23 young people from the local area to enable them to take hands on work experience. Additionally, 25% percent of our workforce are working towards a National Vocational Qualification"

Winners of the Bucks Free Press Edge Employer Awards will automatically be shortlisted for the South East regional Edge Employer Awards. Judging for the regional awards will commence in August and winners will be announced in September.

National winners are to be announced at the Edge Employer Awards ceremony at Old Billingsgate, London on 1 November, and will be attended by Jamie Oliver and Simon Woodroffe of Yo! Sushi and BBC's Dragon's Den fame.
