April 28, 2011 - Michael Branham has been named General Manager of Four Seasons Resorts Bali.A 21-year seasoned industry veteran, Branham's long and successful career in hospitality has taken him across Asia from Thailand to Tokyo beginning in Jakarta, Indonesia in 1997 with Four Seasons and returning full circle 14 years after in 2011 to Bali, Indonesia as the new General Manager for the island's two Four Seasons resorts. Branham joins the well-established Bali team from his most recent position as General Manager of Tokyo's jewel, Four Seasons Hotel Marunouchi where he presided for almost four years since 2007.

Having held a variety of senior operational roles in Asia's leading cities in his early career before joining Four Seasons, Branham's forte is in Food & Beverage where he played an instrumental role as Regional Director of Food & Beverage in the openings of Four Seasons Hotel Cairo, Las Vegas and Sydney, consulting on and facilitating the hotels' strategic F&B operations and concept planning from menu development and management to chef recruiting.

A career illustrated by dedication and commitment; focused, energetic Branham was promoted to Hotel Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Chinzan-so in 2002 and later transferred to Four Seasons Hotel Singapore in the same capacity where his thorough and creative approach to establishing and improving businesses continued to define the highest standards of service and quality for these hotels.

Bringing extensive executive and operational expertise, this dynamic natural leader provides a balanced approach to results with an equal emphasis on financial performance, exceptional guest experience and employee engagement. Under his new leadership and vision, Branham will spearhead the next exciting growth phase for the Bali resorts with the upcoming renovation at Sayan and PJ's restaurant in Jimbaran Bay as he continues to uphold and further the unrivalled standards and qualities Four Seasons Resorts Bali have come to be known for.

A keen sportsman, Branham's love for the outdoors was instilled from his growing up years surrounded by the beauty of the Bavarian Alps which often finds him seeking inspiration and balance through running, cycling or hiking. A vibrant participant, Branham devotes the same passion to these pursuits as he does to his profession and is looking forward to exploring the secluded, lush tropical forests, valleys and mountains of mystical Bali. When not outdoors, this soon to be discovered singing sensation hotelier Branham takes the “stage” at home with microphone in hand for his weekly vocal regimen.
