Alexander Capello Appointed Exec Sous Chef Four Seasons Resorts Lana`i

September 20, 2010 - Alexander Capello has been named executive sous chef of Four Seasons Resorts Lāna'i. In his new role, Chef Capello will assist Executive Chef Fabrice Huet in overseeing all culinary operations and menu development for the seven food and beverage outlets between Manele Bay and The Lodge at Koele.

“Chef Capello is a great addition to the Lāna'i ohana” said Tom Roelens, general manager of Four Seasons Resorts Lāna'i. “He is well-respected in the hospitality industry and brings a wealth of experience and vision to our culinary department.”

A native of Brescia, Italy, Chef Capello joined Four Seasons Resorts Lāna`i from Four Seasons Resort Maui in May 2010. With 15 years of culinary experience, he has served as Executive Sous Chef at Four Seasons Hotel Damascus in Syria and was the Italian Chef at Vivace restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Amman in Jordan. Chef Capello's other culinary experience includes positions at Four Seasons Hotel Canary Wharf, in London, England; Hotel Cala Caterina, in Cagliari, Italy; and Emporio Armani Cafe, in Paris, France.

When he's not in the kitchen, Chef Capello enjoys soccer, relaxing at the beach and discovering Lāna`i's many adventurous offerings.
