MUMBAI, India - May 10, 2010 - The Leela Kovalam Beach, Kerala has been recognized as the “Best Five Star Deluxe Hotel” in India. The Hon. Vice President of India, Shri Mohammad Hamid Ansari presented the National Tourism Award (2008-09) to Vivek Nair, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts at a ceremony in New Delhi on March 3. The Leela Kovalam Beach received the prestigious award for its exceptional service and its contribution to promoting India as a tourism destination.
