Azul Debuts 2007 Culinary Class Series

HONG KONG, January 4, 2007. Azul, the signature restaurant at Mandarin Oriental, Miami, presents its 2007 interactive cooking class series starring award-winning chef Clay Conley. Guests will have an opportunity to savor a weekend of culinary delights, book individual classes or reserve the entire six-class culinary series. These themed interactive classes from "Dinner for Two," "Favorite Football Tailgating Recipes" to "Mix and Mingle" provide a creative approach to cooking in a lively, luxurious setting.

In each class, Chef Conley will share his cooking tips and prepare the ultimate gourmet lunch along with student chefs in the magnificent marble-clad open kitchen of Azul. A sumptuous three-course tasting menu is matched with flights of premium wines by sommelier Cynthia Betancourt. Both an entertaining and learning experience, guests with a passion for food will create epicurean delights, discover new flavor techniques and learn the skills to craft and present beautiful plates.

Student chefs will receive recipe cards and cooking notes for easy step-by-step reference. Upon completion of the class, graduates will receive a certificate of participation and a signature Azul apron.

Classes are held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

---|21 April 2007: "Gone Fishing" - A visit to the fish market

---|19 May 2007: "Vegetarian Cooking"

---|9 June 2007: "For Dads" - Favorite football tailgating recipes

---|15 September 2007: "Mix and Mingle" - Tips for putting together a great cocktail party

---|20 October 2007: "Festive Ways to Prepare for the Holidays"

The "Miami Culinary Weekend Experience" offers a host of luxurious delights including:

o Accommodations for two nights (arrive on Friday and depart on Sunday)

o Gourmet arrival amenity

o American breakfast daily for up to two persons

o Group interactive cooking class with Star Chef Clay Conley

o Private meeting with Chef Conley to choose your evening's dinner menu

o Three-course dinner for two in Azul (excluding beverages, including tax & gratuity)

Rates for the weekend package based on double occupancy are from USD 1,789 for classes held on 10 February and 21 April, from USD 1,649 for 19 May and 20 October and from USD 1,389 for 9 June and 15 September. Rates are per room for a two-night stay and are subject to availability.

Individual classes are USD 175 per person plus tax; pre-registration and payment required. Participants may also wish to sign up for the full six-class series for USD 875 plus tax.
