DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown Appoints Linda Ferone as Director of Catering
SEPTEMBER 24, 2009 - The DoubleTree Hotel in Tarrytown has recently appointed Linda Ferone of Yorktown Heights as its new Director of Catering. In her new position, Ms. Ferone will be handling catering for a mix of corporate and social markets.
Prior to joining the DoubleTree, she was Director of Sales at the Hospitality Resource Group in White Plains for almost two years. She also enjoyed an 11-year career with the Crowne Plaza Hotel in White Plains, as a Catering Manager and then Director of Catering. In addition, Ms. Ferone served as Assistant Food Director with Restaura Dining Services in New Jersey, servicing accounts such as Con Edison and Concordia College in Bronxville.
Ms. Ferone holds an MBA in Marketing from Iona College in New Rochelle and a B.S. in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
She has been a teaching assistant for hotel and restaurant management classes at Pace University in Pleasantville and currently mentors interns who are interested in hotel and restaurant careers. Ms. Ferone is a member of Meeting Planners International, the Westchester Business Council, the Association of Development Officers and the Westchester County Association. She is a former board member of the Westchester Coalition for the Hungry and Homeless Inc.
