Hampton Opens Six Hotels In November

Including the 100th Hampton property in Texas

DECEMBER 19, 2006. Hampton (www.hampton.com), the national brand of more than 1,350 mid-priced Hampton Inn(R) and Hampton Inn & Suites(R) hotels, has opened six properties in November 2006-representing 533 new rooms. The new openings include one Hampton Inn hotel and five Hampton Inn & Suites properties. All openings are franchised newly constructed hotels.

"We are thrilled to announce that 100 Hampton hotels are now open in the great state of Texas," said Phil Cordell, senior vice-president, Hampton brand management. "This milestone hotel opening showcases our continuing growth in the western half of the United States, and in 2007 we expect to see more of the same growth as we already have more than 30 Hampton hotels under construction in Texas and California-- all tentatively scheduled to open during the remainder of 2006 or 2007."

From a product development standpoint, Hampton is in the final stages of implementing its new bedding package, featuring a crisp, white duvet cover, enveloping a plush 200-thread-count comforter, white sheets and the guest's choice of down or foam jumbo size pillows. The new bedding package is expected to be available at all Hampton hotels by year-end 2006.
