Millennium & Copthorne Sign Management Contract for Hotel in Dohar
DOHAR, Qatar, Agust 4, 2005. Millennium & Copthorne Hotels has announced the signing of a management contract for a new 250 room hotel in Doha, the group's first hotel in Qatar.
The Millennium Hotel Doha will open in September 2006 and be located in the diplomatic and commercial area of the city adjacent to a park and a major new shopping mall. Leisure facilities include a health club and indoor pool both of which are on the rooftop. At lobby level there will be all-day dining and there will also be a rooftop terrace restaurant. The Lobby and lounge area covers over 700m2 and will have seating for 100. Access to the 354m2 banqueting hall and pre-function area is from the lobby level and there is also a separate external entrance for non-residential events. Three further conference and meeting rooms will cater for up to 250 delegates.
Rooms include 5 Presidential Suites, 7 Diplomatic Suites, 7 Executive Suites and two floors of Executive Club rooms with exclusive access to a Club Lounge. An additional feature of the accommodation will be a number of 1 and 2-bed apartments for longer-stay guests.
