Certain Software Appoints Ken Voss EVP, Sales And Marketing

AUGUST 9, 2006. Seasoned technology executive to lead global sales, marketing and business development groups for leading meeting and event management solutions company Certain Software(R) today announced the appointment of Ken Voss to the position of executive vice president, sales and marketing. Voss brings the company more than 20 years of sales and marketing management experience with a number of leading technology companies, and will be instrumental in driving continued growth for Certain Software, the leading provider of strategic meeting and event management solutions. Voss will lead all world-wide sales, marketing and business development groups, including corporate sales, government services, sales engineering, and partnership development.

Voss joins Certain Software at a time of significant growth and success. It has also celebrated the addition of new clients across key market segments, including Wells Fargo Bank, Stanford University, the United States Army and Analog Devices. Certain Software continues to grow dramatically, recently doubling its year-to-year revenues, all while current customers continue to express their satisfaction with Register123 by renewing at a rate of 95%.

Prior to joining Certain Software, Voss was a member of the executive management team that founded Spear Technologies, a software company serving markets both in the government and private sectors in the United States and Europe. There, he was responsible for integrated marketing communications, strategic business planning, key alliance and partner management, and corporate communications. Before Spear Technologies, Voss served as vice president, sales and marketing for TENERA, Inc., where he was recruited by the CEO to build a new sales and marketing organization, identify and expand into new markets, and grow sales in existing markets for a $25M custom software and services company. Voss has also held executive positions at Enlighten Software, Inc. and SHL Systemhouse, where he was part of the management team that grew the company from $15 million to over $750 million.
