InterContinental de la Ville Roma GM Named Man of the Year
Luigi de Rosa earns esteemed distinction from American Association of Travel Editors
ROME, Italy, August 2, 2006. Luigi de Rosa, General Manager of the InterContinental de la Ville Roma, has been unanimously voted "Man of the Year" of the Italian Hotel Industry by the American Association of Travel Editors. De Rosa received the award at the organization's 22nd Annual meeting held in Canada.
De Rosa was honored by the Association's Board of Directors for his excellence in management (the hotel ranked the highest in guest satisfaction surveys) and his memorable contributions to the development of travel.
"It is truly an honor to be recognized by my peers within the travel industry. Hospitality has been my lifelong passion and this award is a tremendously proud moment for me, both personally and professionally. I humbly give great thanks to the American Association of Travel Editors for bequeathing me with such an acknowledgement," comments De Rosa.
De Rosa was named General Manager of the InterContinental de la Ville Roma in May 2004. He previously held General Manager positions at the Melia Olbia Resort and the Melia Poltu Quatu, both in Sardinia, Italy, as well as Le Meridien Trois Ilets in Martinique. De Rosa holds a degree from the University of Salerno and is married with two children.
