Travers Johnson Returns to Rosen Plaza

ORLANDO, FL, July 31, 2006. Victoria Hall, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Rosen Plaza in Orlando, announces that Travers Johnson will be returning to the award-winning property as the Associate Director of Sales.

As Associate Director of Sales, Travers Johnson will be responsible for generating business out of the Northeast, and providing support to Victoria Hall and the Rosen Plaza sales force. Johnson will also be in charge of handling groups from the Northeast market that require over 125 rooms, plus meeting space.
Johnson started his career with Rosen Hotels and Resorts in 1997 at the Rosen Centre as a banquet set up manager. Johnson was subsequently promoted to banquet manager and then convention service/catering manager. Johnson left the Centre in 2001 to join Hall at the Rosen Plaza as a conference center sales manager, a position he held for three years.
For the past two years, prior to returning to the Rosen Plaza, Johnson was with the Rosen Shingle Creek resort, where he was a national sales manager, handling pre-opening sales for the SMERF and Diversity markets worldwide.
Johnson is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies, and is an active member of the UCF alumni association. As a prominent member of the Central Florida community, Johnson hosts an annual golf tournament every winter named the BigG Johnson Holiday Classic of Friends. All proceeds from the tournament go directly to benefit the Toys for Tots program and the Rosen Family Outreach Center. The past two years, the tournament has been held at Shingle Creek Golf Club.
