Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong Annouces New Director of Sales
HONG KONG, August 1, 2006. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is delighted to announce the appointment of Mervyn Tam as Director of Sales - Leisure.
Mervyn Tam joins Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong from Shangri-La hotels, where until recently he held the position of Director of Business Development - Travel Trade at their Kowloon property. Prior to that, Mervyn held managerial Sales roles at The Inter-Continental Grand Stanford, The Harbour Plaza and The Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong.
Mervyn's first introduction to the hospitality industry was through the Food & Beverage department of Hotel Primerose au Lac in Swtizerland whilst studying at the prestigious Les Roches, Switzerland hotel school. As a member of Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong's management team, Mervyn will be responsible for coordinating the re-launch leisure sales strategy after its historic renovation, scheduled for completion later this year, and will report to Vanessa Williams, Director of Sales & Marketing.
