Davidson Wins Three Top Hilton National Sales Awards
MEMPHIS, TN, July 25, 2006. Davidson Hotel Company announced that Hilton Hotels & Resorts had recognized three of Davidson's directors of sales as the top performers in the Hilton Hotels system, in three categories.
The winners include:
--Lori Haskell, director of sales, Hilton Kansas City Airport-The hotel achieved the highest year-over-year percentage gain in revenue per available room (RevPAR) for an airport hotel, compared to its peer group.
--Tom Goodwin, director of sales, Hilton Memphis-The hotel achieved the highest year-over-year percentage gain in RevPAR growth for a commercial hotel, compared to its peer group.
--Brent Hartman, director of sales, Hilton San Antonio Airport-The hotel generated the greatest revenue from Hilton's on-line booking and travel management tool for small and medium-sized businesses.
"Our hotels won three of the 19 top awards out of 229 hotels in the Hilton system, which is a remarkable statistic," said John Belden, Davidson's CEO and president. "No other independent Hilton Hotel operator matched our success. This is the largest number of Hilton awards we've won in a single year in our company's 40-year history. What makes this especially rewarding is that we were able to outperform the top hoteliers across the country in a year when the hotel industry is performing at top levels. Our hotels continue to show strong growth through the first half of 2006, and the outlook remains very positive."
