Hotel Nikko San Francisco to Debut Imperial Club Guest Rooms

...Exclusive rooms will introduce new "VibeTV" bathroom mirrors

. October 14, 2008

July 18, 2005, San Francisco -Guests staying in Hotel Nikko San Francisco's newly created Imperial Club rooms will be pampered with many extras, including the newest luxury electronics: bathroom mirrors with built-in television and built-in lighting. Hotel Nikko San Francisco will be the first hotel in the world to feature these devices, called VibeTV mirrors.

"Hotel Nikko San Francisco has long been recognized as the intersection where understated architecture meets the latest cutting-edge technology. So, it's only natural for us to redefine function and form in the bathroom by being the first hotel to offer the Vibe TV mirror" says John Hutar, general manager of the Hotel Nikko San Francisco.

The Imperial Club will occupy two floors of the hotel, the 23rd and 24th floors, with 28 guest rooms in total. Only guests who stay on the Imperial Club floors will be able to access these floors, using elevator keys. The guest rooms will feature many extra amenities and perks, including:

o The high-tech VibeTV bathroom mirrors with built-in TV and lighting

o 42-inch high-definition plasma televisions

o Complimentary wireless internet access (all of the hotel's rooms have high speed internet access)

o Complimentary local and 800-number phone calls

o Subarashee Yume (you-may) Beds that feature 28-inch deep pillow-top mattresses (reflecting the Japanese hospitality that underlies the hotel's origins, the name "Subarashee Yume" means "fantastic dreams" in Japanese.)

o Verde (by Gilchrist and Soames) bath amenities

o Subarashee Ame (ah-may) shower heads (Subarashee Ame means "fantastic rain" in Japanese)

o Frette linens

o Nightly turndown service featuring Japanese proverbs for guests to ponder as they fall asleep.

o Complimentary breakfast and evening beer and wine reception served daily in the Imperial Club's lounge.

"Subarashee Omoide - creating fantastic memories for each guest - is our core mission. We're now taking this Subarashee concept further by offering amazing new bedding and shower products for time-stressed executives, giving them all of the amenities and services that will allow them to "Sleep comfortably, relax deeply". Of course, our Imperial Club guests can also enjoy a workout at our atrium-covered swimming pool or our fully-equipped health club, or experience the world class cuisine of Restaurant ANZU," Mr. Hutar noted.

Manufactured by Electric Mirrors, LLC, in Seattle, the rooms' VibeTV mirrors have been designed especially for the hotel. The TV screen will only be visible when the built-in television is turned on.

Hotel Nikko San Francisco is accepting reservations now for guests who wish to experience its Imperial Club floors. The new Imperial Club rooms will be available starting August 1, 2005. A night in an Imperial Club room will begin at $249 for a single room with King-size bed, and range up to $5,000.00 per night for the Imperial Suite.
