Suburban Revs Its Sweepstakes Engine this Summer
NASCAR fans can register to win Richard Petty Driving Experience
ATLANTA, GA, August 2, 2005. Suburban Franchise Systems, Inc. (SFS), is using its successful sponsorship of the Richard Petty Driving Experience to reach out to NASCAR's 75 million fan base with its "Suburban Summer Break Sweepstakes."
Now through Sept. 10, NASCAR fans can enter to win a "Rookie Experience" package with the Richard Petty Driving Experience through Suburban Extended Stay Hotels' Web site ( www.suburbanhotels.com). The grand prize winner will get the chance to drive a 600 horsepower V-8 engine, NASCAR-style race car for eight laps. The 3-hour package includes safety instruction and a graduation packet with a time sheet and breakdown of each lap. The winner also will receive a 37-inch LCD HDTV to watch future NASCAR races.
"The demographics of the NASCAR drive match up perfectly with the average Suburban hotel guest," said Chris Kornmayer, Vice President of Marketing for the company. "We think our guests will be excited about the sweepstakes and the possibility of taking a NASCAR for a spin on an actual NASCAR-sanctioned track."
A first prize winner will receive a 32-inch LCD HDTV and a second-prize winner will get a 26-inch LCD HDTV. Complete rules and regulations are available on the Web site.
The sweepstakes will be promoted through Web ads and four 1/2 -page print ads in the weekly news tabloid "NASCAR Scene," which has a circulation of 114,000. The campaign is Suburban's first consumer print advertising in three years.
