The Regent Bal Harbour Taps Seasoned Hotelier with International Pedigree
NOVEMBER 29, 2006. Regent Hotels & Resorts has named industry veteran Philippe Parodi director of sales and marketing for The Regent Bal Harbour Hotel.
The new luxury property borders the Atlantic Ocean and Baker's Haulover Inlet in one of Miami's most prestigious neighborhoods. The $225 million development, slated to open in spring 2007, will feature a 17-story hotel component - The Regent Bal Harbour - which dramatically intersects a 26-story residential condominium tower, One Bal Harbour, overlooking the ocean to the east, Intracoastal Waterway to the west, Miami to the south, and Sunny Isles Beach to the north. The Regent brand provides business and leisure travelers the highest standards of luxury hospitality and plans to debut in Miami this fall with The Regent South Beach.
Parodi will oversee sales, marketing, advertising and communications for The Regent Bal Harbour, having worked most recently as regional director of marketing for Morgans Hotel Group's Miami properties, The Delano and Shore Club. Previously, Parodi oversaw sales and marketing for the five-star, Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France, and was instrumental in the launch of its five-star sister hotel, The Palais de la Mediterran'ee in Nice. Parodi also served as director of sales for Hotel de Crillon in Paris and the Lucien Barriere Group French Riviera in Cannes.
'Philippe's international experience and knowledge of the US markets made him a clear choice for director of sales and marketing,' said Monica Neumann, vice president of operations for Regent. 'We expect The Regent Bal Harbour to capture the loyalty of discerning luxury guests under his leadership.'
'I am delighted to join the Regent team, whose commitment to world-class quality and guest service is widely renowned,' remarked Parodi. 'Regent Bal Harbour will be an extension of Regent's growing luxury brand.'
