Executive Appointments at Fairmont

TORONTO, Canada, November 20, 2006

FRED LAWLOR has been named Vice President, Procurement for Fairmont Raffles Hotels International. In his new role, Lawlor will be responsible for leading the purchasing and procurement function for the company's four brands on a global basis. Lawlor will also be called on to build strategic global supplier relationships to serve all existing properties and new builds. Lawlor brings 30 years of hospitality and procurement experience to this position, most recently as President & General Manager, Avendra Canada since 2001.

ERIC MALCOLMSON has been appointed to the role of Vice President, Development at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Building upon Fairmont's development resources Malcolmson will focus on brand growth in North America. Malcolmson began his career as an associate with Colliers International Hotel Realty in 1993. In 1997, he joined PriceWaterhouse Coopers LLP as Associate, Real Estate Advisory Services. Malcolmson joined Fairmont in 2002 as Director, Real Estate Development group and was promoted to his most recent position as Executive Director, Development in January 2006. Malcolmson holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Hospitality and Tourism Management Program from Ryerson University.

SHARON COHEN has taken over the role of Director, Loyalty Marketing at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. She brings over 11 years experience to the position and joins Fairmont's Corporate Office from her most recent position as Director, Sales & Marketing at the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. In her new position, Cohen will be responsible for the management of Fairmont's loyalty programs including: "Fairmont President's Club" Guest Recognition Program, "Fairmont Famous" Travel Agent Education & Rewards Program and "ResPlus", Fairmont's Frequent Booker Program.

DAVID ERLICH has been promoted to Regional Spa Director, Fairmont Spas. Erlich will be responsible for the spa operations at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa, Fairmont Newport Beach, The Fairmont Orchid and The Fairmont Kea Lani, Maui. He joined Fairmont in 2002 as Director, Spa Operations, The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. Prior to joining Fairmont, Erlich owned his own consulting business. He also held progressive positions at the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa in Maui, including Front Office Manager, Director Guest Services and Executive Director of Spa from 1993 to 2001. Erlich is active in the spa industry and currently sits as a Member of the Board of Directors of the International Spa Association (ISPA).

JANET OMIDO has been named Director, Sales & Marketing for Fairmont's operations in Kenya. Omido brings 10 years of hospitality experience to this position and returns to her native Kenya after several years living and working in the United States. She began her career in 1996 as Front Desk Manager, Windsor Court Hotel, New Orleans and later joined The Hyatt Regency in 1998 and held progressive positions with Hyatt Regency New Orleans and San Diego, including Assistant Executive Housekeeper and Sales Manager. In 2003, Omido was appointed Senior Sales Manager, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts and held that position until 2005. She joins Fairmont from her most recent position as Senior Sales Manager, The Radisson Hotel, Newport Beach.

MICHELLE GILMAN-JASEN has been promoted to Regional Director, Sales & Marketing, California. She first joined The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in September 2002 as Director, Sales & Marketing, following three years at The Fairmont San Francisco as Director of Group Sales and Director of Sales. Prior to that, she worked at The Fairmont San Jose, for a period of three years quickly ascending from her role as Sales Manager to the position of Director of Group Sales within a short time. Prior to joining Fairmont, Gilman-Jasen worked as a Conference Services Manager at the Swissotel in Chicago.

DAVID BURT has been named Director, Sales & Marketing at The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa. Burt joined The Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa in January 2005 as Director of Sales, following five years at The Fairmont San Francisco as Director of Group Sales. Prior to joining Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, he held positions in Food & Beverage, Rooms Division and Sales & Marketing in Chicago at The Four Seasons and The Hilton & Towers.

GUY BITTNER has been named the Director, Food & Beverage at The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. Bittner brings over 8 years of hospitality experience to the position. In 1998, he began his career at the Boston Marriott Copley Place as Restaurant Manager and held that position until 2000 when he moved to The Jerusalem Hilton as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. From there, he was promoted to Food & Beverage Manager, The David Citadel Hotel when the hotel changed its name in 2001. Bittner joined Fairmont in 2003 as Banquet Manager, The Fairmont Winnipeg and in 2004, was promoted to his most recent position, as Director, Food & Beverage, The Fairmont Winnipeg.
