Marshall Management Announces New VPs
VP Accounting/Corporate Controller, VP Sales and Marketing
NOVEMBER 16, 2006. Marshall Management today announced that it has added two key executives to its senior management team. David Harvill has joined the company as vice president of accounting/corporate controller, and Ron Callari was named vice president of sales and marketing. "Combined, these two additions to our senior management team represent nearly four decades of industry experience," said Michael Marshall, president. "This additional expertise will allow us to provide higher levels of service to our owners and generate higher returns."
David Harvill:
As vice president of accounting/corporate controller, David Harvill will be responsible for overseeing all financing and accounting activities, information technology and credit and controls.
"David has extensive knowledge of accounting systems and cost improvement procedures, as well as internal control and analysis experience," Marshall said. "We constantly seek ways to enhance our proprietary management systems, and this added depth and expertise will allow us to stay on the cutting edge."
A financial manager with more than 18 years of experience in the hotel industry, Harvill joins Marshall from DBH Consulting, a hospitality consulting firm he founded in 2004. Previously, he was an area controller for Hilton, where he was responsible for the review and audit of financial records for 21 Hilton hotels. Prior to that, he held financial/controller positions at GF Management, Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Interstate Hotels, where he held a number of property level accounting positions.
Ron Callari:
As vice president of sales and marketing, Ron Callari will be responsible for both regional sales and marketing of the company's hotel portfolio. His duties include overseeing the company's sales effort, training, recruitment and new business initiatives.
"Ron has valuable experience on both the supplier and buyer sides of the travel industry," Marshall noted. "In addition to his marketing and sales experience with major brands, Ron was program executive for Travel Planners, the nation's largest bureau for major industry tradeshows throughout the U.S. and Canada."
An industry veteran with more than 20 years of experience, Callari joins Marshall from INNovations, a company he founded in 2002 that was awarded Travel & Leisure's Mark of Innovation Award for bed & breakfast marketing services he developed. Previously he served as director of marketing for Marriott Hotels and also as an award-winning F&B director of marketing for that hotel company.
