Hilton UK Appoints Spa Chief
NOVEMBER 14, 2006. Hilton's commitment to enhancing the travel experience has gained new focus this month with the appointment of Keith Burnet as Vice President of fitness and spa.
Based out of the Hilton's International Operations Centre in Watford, Keith will be responsible for the introduction and development of the hotel based fitness centres and new spa concepts. Keith, who has 15 years leisure industry experience, was latterly Managing Director of LivingWell prior to the recent sale of its stand alone clubs. Hilton currently has more than 150 fitness and spa facilities across the international business.
One of Keith's first priorities will be to conduct an in-depth audit of Hilton's current spa and lifestyle offering. "Fitness and spa is a key part of Hilton's future strategy, a facet of the business that has huge potential within the Hilton family of brands.
Hilton has very exciting growth plans over the next ten years and running parallel with this will be an exciting fitness and spa concept. "Moreover, health, fitness and general wellbeing is a high priority for our guests, this coupled with more people combining business and leisure travel, makes it increasingly important for Hilton to lead with the best fitness and spa concept in the business," said Keith.
Keith will also be responsible for coordinating partnerships with third parties, establishing operational, brand and design standards, and performing ongoing facility evaluations to drive excellence in service and productivity.
