St. Regis Temenos Anguilla Debuts Greg Norman-Designed Golf Club

. October 14, 2008

NEW YORK, NY, November 3, 2006. Manhattan-based Flag LuxuryTM Properties, LLC and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts celebrates today the opening of Temenos Golf Club at an official ribbon-cutting ceremony that will kick off the inaugural Marquis Jet-Temenos Golf Club Invitational. Sponsors include Marquis Jet as the title sponsor and Bear, Stearns & Co., the Dan & Blythe Brown Foundation and Deutsche Bank as presenting sponsors. Created and designed by World Golf Hall of Famer Greg Norman, the 18-hole championship golf course is located at the ultra-luxurious St. Regis Resort & Residences, Temenos Anguilla. Temenos Golf Club is managed by Troon Golf(R), the leader in upscale golf course management, development and marketing, and is Anguilla's first-ever golf course.

The resort, situated in the southwestern section of the island, offers breathtaking sea views and pristine white beaches in a private club-like setting. The centerpiece of Temenos Golf Club is a 28,000 square-foot Clubhouse inspired by the Greek island-Mediterranean architectural style of the three original St. Regis villas on the island. The Clubhouse is also the home to Zurra, a new Mediterranean-influenced restaurant managed by successful restaurateurs, authors and lifestyle experts, Bob and Melinda Blanchard, whose other restaurant on Anguilla, Blanchard's, is renowned in the Caribbean. The imposing and dramatic new Clubhouse features a fully-equipped golf shop.

The exclusive Temenos Golf Club was created for the enjoyment of resort guests and residence homeowners, as well as guests of other hotels and local Anguillians subject to availability. The golf course is distinguished by panoramic views and vistas of nearby St. Maarten and the Caribbean Sea incorporating physical and environmental characteristics of the island's natural terrain including dramatic elevation changes and water features on 13 holes.

"I am honored to celebrate the opening of Anguilla's first-ever golf course," stated Norman. "The opening of Temenos Golf Club is a testament to the integrity, support and commitment of the Anguilla government, Flag Luxury Properties and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. I am pleased to have been involved in such a monumental occasion in the island's history."

In planning the course, significant environmental efforts were undertaken by Flag Luxury Properties and Greg Norman Golf Course Design to preserve and to enhance the island's natural habitats. Most significant was the renewal of Merrywing Salt Pond, an island landmark. Featured predominantly in the course, the pond's water was reinvigorated, giving rebirth to its natural organisms. New flushing channels permit seawater to flow out the pond during high tide. The pond is stocked with bonefish and coral reefs are being re-established.

"This is a red-letter day in Anguilla's history with the opening of Temenos Golf Club," stated Paul Kanavos, Chairman and CEO, Flag Luxury Properties. "The breadth, scope and majesty of this course is unsurpassed and Temenos Golf Club is destined to be the ultimate golfer's paradise." Temenos Golf Club offers a course where sand, wind and water blend seamlessly with Anguilla's natural environment to present a golfer's dream. The October, 2004 Robb Report called the first hole, "The Caribbean's answer to the 18th at Pebble Beach."

o Golfers are greeted by a spectacular vista of St. Maarten and the Caribbean Sea at the tee box of the 390-yard starting hole. The fairway descends over 40-feet to a green that sits on a waste native area.

o Playing dead into the trade winds, the perilous drive on the 440 yard sixteenth hole is framed on the right by the Merrywing salt pond. From the tees, golfers will be awed by the sweeping views of Merrywing Bay.

o The drive for the finishing hole carries the edge of the mangrove thicket in a vast stretch of saltmarsh that winds through eight of the course holes. The narrowing fairway ascends forty feet through rugged terrain to a narrow green carved out of the native shrub.

The course includes a 20,000 square-foot double green, situated on the dunes of an adjacent white-sand beach, is shared by the second and 10th holes, a 190-yard par-3 and a demanding 590-yard par-5 respectively. The picturesque sixth hole, a downhill 600-yard par-5, is perched 80 feet above sea level, the highest point of the property.
