SEATTLE, WA, November 2, 2006. Visitors can post experiences on a satellite map of the world and can include drawings, text, photos and video as well as GPS data. The Geojoey user community determines which experiences are the best in an area by voting for the experiences they like.

Visitors to Geojoey can view the most popular or newest experiences in the location that interests them. The site provides a variety of other ways to explore experiences including a search engine and a tag cloud. "One of the most powerful uses for Geojoey is for travelers who want to talk about their travel experiences or research where they are going to travel to next," said Mark Maunder, Geojoey's Founder and CEO.

When adding an experience, Geojoey gives users the ability to draw freehand on the map to highlight roads, trails or areas of interest. The site also gives GPS users the ability to draw a track on the map using data uploaded from their GPS units. Geojoey includes a landmark search engine with over 8 million landmarks worldwide to help users navigate the map.

Geojoey's founders are Mark Maunder and Kerry Boyte. Their previous business was one of Time Magazine's Top 50 websites of 2005 and was sold to Seattle based Jobster.com last year.
