Crowne Plaza Back in Manchester

AUGUST 29, 2008. Manchester's newest has opened its doors marking a return to the city for the Crowne Plaza brand.

The 228 room hotel on Shudehill opens after a lb32 million investment by Liverpool-based operator Centre Island.

Bob Fairweather, general manager of the hotel said: "We have had a great deal of interest from corporate and leisure clients for conferences and other events and my team and I are looking forward to welcoming them to the hotel.

"Of course the hotel's facilities including destination restaurant and bar Glass House and nine conference rooms are also available for people living and working in Manchester and we look forward to welcoming them too.

The hotel also features 24 Club rooms and a Presidential Suite which include access to the exclusive Club lounge access.
