Marriott Hartford Apppoints Kim Hollfelder Director of Sales

HARTFORD, CT, October 16, 2006. Kim Hollfelder has been named Director of Sales of the Residence Inn by Marriott in Hartford, CT. The 120-room Residence Inn Hartford is professionally managed by Waterford Hotel Group, a national hotel management firm currently operating 26 properties in 8 states.
As Director of Sales, Hollfelder will be responsible for the total sales effort of the hotel, including developing and maintaining new accounts, supervising sales related personnel and implementing sales and marketing strategies so as to maximize profits of the hotel while maintaining guest satisfaction. Hollfelder most recently served Waterford at the Marriott Hartford Downtown since the hotel's pre-opening. Starting as Compliance Administrator, she then moved onto Hotel Coordinator and Sales Manager roles. Prior to joining Waterford, she worked at both the Residence Inn by Marriott in Windsor, CT, and the Hartford Farmington Marriott, fulfilling such roles as Account Manager, Sales/Catering Assistant, and Guest Relations/Front Desk.

Hollfelder, who is married with a 9 year-old daughter and currently resides in Newington, CT, has more than 8 years experience in the hospitality industry. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree at Charter Oak State College in New Britain, CT.
