Samuel R. Schorr Named Managing Director for Singh Hotels & Resorts
MARATHON, FL, August 31, 2005. Samuel R. Schorr was recently appointed as managing director for Singh Hotel & Resorts, a new family of signature resort residences with ownership privileges in the Florida Keys.
Schorr has 25 years of executive hotel operations experience in destination luxury hotels and resorts nationwide. Prior to joining Singh Hotels & Resorts, he most recently opened a luxury boutique hotel in Napa, California. Schorr has over a decade of executive management leadership of hotels and resorts, building outstanding teams for several property openings, repositioning and stabilizing operations of destination luxury resorts, including Rockresorts, Omni Hotels and private developers. Schorr's portfolio includes positions at the Royal Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana, Sagamore Resort, Lake George, New York, Rosario Resort & Spa, Orcas Island, Washington, Ocean Place Resort & Spa, Jersey Shore, Key Largo Bay Beach Resort, Key Largo, Florida and River Terrace Inn, Napa, California. He is also a member of the Rotary International, the American Hotel & Motel Association, and the Cornell Hotel Society.
The Singh Hotels & Resorts portfolio includes Tranquility Bay Beach House Resort in Marathon Key, a $62 million 12-acre private enclave with 87 beautifully appointed two- and three-bedroom beach homes, opening for previews in October 2005. Following closely will be Indigo Reef Marina Home Resort, also in Marathon Key, and Parrot Key Resort, in historic Key West.
