Courtyard by Marriott Detroit Downtown Unveils Property-Wide Transformation
Courtyard by Marriott, part of Marriott Bonvoy's portfolio of 31 extraordinary hotel brands, announced the completion of a significant renovation to transform both the interior and exterior of its Courtyard Detroit Downtown hotel. Owned by Bedrock and operated by Marriott International, the 260-room hotel resides inside the Millender Center that connects to the Renaissance Center, Millender Center Detroit People Mover station, and the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center via an enclosed Skyway.

Additionally, the exterior of the hotel has undergone significant changes, including enhanced landscaping designs in outdoor spaces that encompass the hotel entryways and the rooftop. The expansive renovations were led by The Gettys Group, the project architect was Detroit-based Neumann/Smith Architecture, and the general contractor was Albert M. Higley Co., which has an office in Detroit.

In April, all eyes were on Detroit as it hosted a record-breaking NFL Draft where Courtyard by Marriott was an official sponsor. Throughout the summer, the Courtyard team will host pop ups and other events to coincide with iconic events in the city.
