Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston Welcomes Tom Counts as New Director of Sales
Hyatt Centric Faneuil Hall Boston appoints Tom Counts as the hotel's new Director of Sales. With decades of experience across all hospitality industry sectors, Counts brings years of sales expertise to the Hyatt team to continue the hotel's success and commitment to high-quality hospitality.
"We're excited to have Tom as our Director of Sales. His proven success in restaurants and hotels will be a huge asset to our team," shares General Manager Kevin Matheson. "Tom has already demonstrated great character, enthusiasm, and relationship-building, which equips him well for this role."
Counts' years of experience have proven him as an asset in all positions, from line cook to executive-level sales roles. Most recently, Counts served at the Hilton Boston Park Plaza Hotel, Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk, and Westin Chicago River North. Before that, he spent over thirteen years at the Sheraton Atlanta Hotel, now the Courtland Grand Hotel. He draws from his deep knowledge of hotel operations and sales to drive business.
"I'm incredibly excited to be in the heart of Boston, close to things that make this city so great, like Faneuil Hall and the North End," says Counts. "The hotel's prime location allows us to share all of those great experiences with guests and connect with them in a unique way."
Counts' core responsibilities as Director of Sales include overseeing all members of the Sales and Marketing teams, selling guest rooms, managing accounts, preparing and presenting proposals, maintaining synergy with other departments within the hotel, and devising strategies to meet group and business sales goals.
