San Diego Mission Bay Resort Welcomes Key New Property Leadership
San Diego Mission Bay Resort, the 357-room Noble House Hotels & Resorts property situated on the sparkling waters of Mission Bay, today announces the expansion of its leadership team with the appointment of a new general manager and director of food and beverage. Together, the team will continue enhancing the guest and culinary experiences at San Diego Mission Bay Resort, which has long been known as one of the city's most coveted destinations.
General Manager Summer Shoemaker has spent the last two decades building a successful hospitality career. After holding various front desk operations roles, she relocated to San Diego to further her career and served as the assistant front office manager at the Embassy Suites by Hilton San Diego Bay Downtown. Demonstrating a natural ability to lead, Shoemaker quickly progressed in the ranks and held titles including senior conference service manager and later director of event services at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa and director of operations at L'Auberge Del Mar. She most recently served as the general manager of La Valencia Hotel where she was responsible for property management and strategic leadership and at San Diego Mission Bay Resort, Shoemaker spearheads operations and resort management, bringing a fresh perspective and track record of excellence in service and revenue generation.
Director of Food and Beverage Jason Andrews brings more than two decades of food and beverage leadership to Mission Bay Resort, with career highlights including managerial roles at Chaminade Resort & Spa in Santa Cruz, Calif. and Hacienda Del Sol Guest Ranch Resort in Tucson, Ariz. He is a results-driven leader who seamlessly blends his passion for experience ideation and with focused strategy to drive revenue and ensure a consistently outstanding guest experience. At Mission Bay Resort, Andrews directs and oversees all aspects of the resort's food and beverage experience inclusive of team leadership, menu and event planning, guest service and revenue management. His vision for the future of Mission Bay Resort's food and beverage programming includes spotlighting San Diego's beer and wine culture through curated events and pairing experiences and increased emphasis on celebrating the city's surrounding bounty through regularly rotating seasonal menus and elevated private dining experiences.
