Kimpton's The Hotel Zamora, St. Pete Beach, Names John Markunas as General Manager
ST. PETE BEACH, FL. June 22, 2016 - Kimpton's The Hotel Zamora is pleased to announce the recent appointment of John Markunas as the general manager of its 'urban oasis on St. Pete Beach.'

In his role, Markunas will oversee all property operations including hotel programming and services, marketing and sales, revenue management, and employee relations, while implementing all brand standards and programs, and ensuring each guest receives Kimpton's uniquely anticipatory and highly-personalized service.
John joins The Hotel Zamora with more than nine years of hotel industry experience, starting his career as Front Desk Manager at Kimpton's Nine Zero Hotel in Boston, followed by various management roles at Kimpton's including Onyx Hotel, Ink 48, Eventi and most recently serving as Hotel Manager of Hotel Marlowe, before heading south to Florida.
Markunas received a Bachelor's Degree in Global Business from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. When he isn't managing The Hotel Zamora, Markunas enjoys traveling and exploring new places with his wife and two children. An avid sports fan, Markunas enjoys supporting his hometown, Boston during sporting events.
