Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) Adds Lisa Kaplan as Director of Sales in the Northeast U.S., and Michelle Lauer as Director of Sales in the Midwest U.S.
WASHINGTON, DC (March 2016) - Associated Luxury Hotels International (ALHI) has expanded its Global Sales team in the Northeast U.S. region and Midwest U.S. region. Lisa Kaplan has joined as Director of Sales in ALHI's Boston Global Sales office, and Michelle Lauer has joined as Director of Sales in ALHI's Chicago Global Sales office. In their new positions they are responsible for assisting meeting professionals, association executives, incentive specialists, business executives and convention specialists in their respective regions with ALHI Global Sales Organization (GSO) services and professional sales support for its distinguished portfolio of more than 250 luxury-level Meeting & Incentive focused hotels and resorts around the world, plus distinctive Alliance members to assist planners. The announcement of the appointments was made by ALHI President Jim Schultenover.
Prior to joining ALHI's Northeast U.S. Global Sales team as Director of Sales, Lisa Kaplan served for 15 years in Boston as Key Account Director for the Financial, Banking & Insurance markets for InterContinental Hotels Group. Previous to that, she served for 10 years as Director of Global Accounts for Westin Hotels & Resorts, also based in Boston. In her new position at ALHI, she is responsible for serving the M.I.C.E. (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions/Conferences and Exhibitions/Events) marketplace in the Northeast U.S., with a focus on New England and New York City, and also a focus on serving the meeting needs of the Financial, Banking & Insurance sectors in the region. Michelle Lauer joins ALHI's Global Sales office in Chicago with extensive hospitality sales experience. Most recently she served for three years as Senior Sales Manager for Hyatt Regency Chicago. Previous positions include several years of serving Midwest clients in various property-level and regional sales positions with Hyatt and Marriott. In her new position as Director of Sales at ALHI, she is responsible for serving the meetings, conventions and incentive marketplace in the Midwest U.S. region, with a focus on Accounts in Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and holds a Bachelor of Science in Restaurant, Hotel, Institutional and Tourism Management from Purdue University.
