The Homestead Adds New Members to Sales Team
HOT SPRINGS, VA - April 6, 2007 - The Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia, one of the country's most storied resorts, announces that four seasoned hospitality industry veterans will join the sales team at the resort this month.
Scott Russell joins the team as Director of Regional Accounts and will represent The Homestead to clients in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. Russell has enjoyed a 20- year career in the hospitality industry representing such distinguished resorts as Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia and the Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina.
Alisa Hurt joins the sales team as Director of Regional Accounts after 20 years of hotel and resort sales experience. Hurt was named Sales Person of the Year in 2005 for Potomac Hospitality Services and has worked for many high-end hotels in New York City including The Mayfair, The Omni Berkshire, and the Regent Wall Street. Hurt will represent The Homestead in Washington, DC, Maryland and Northern Virginia.
Jolene Butler will to focus on group sales for The Homestead within the Northeast region and nationally to the pharmaceutical industry as a Director of Regional Sales. Butler began her career at The National Conference Center in Leesburg, Virginia where she rose through the ranks to become National Senior Sales Manager.
Lindsay Wooten discovered her passion for special events during her internship as the Assistant Wedding and Special Events Coordinator at The Homestead. Wooten returns to the resort as the Wedding and Special Events Coordinator, having graduated in 2006 from The University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management and a concentration in Event Management.
