Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas Introduces Canyon Princess
Lake's Newest Tour Boat, Wedding and Special Event Venue
PAGE, AZ, April 12, 2007. Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, an ARAMARK-managed property, today announced it will host a ribbon cutting and inaugural voyage of its new yacht-style tour boat, the Canyon Princess, on April 27, 2007, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Wahweap Marina, Lake Powell, located in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.
"The Canyon Princess will make a fantastic addition to our fleet of tour boats and offer guests a unique, luxury venue for weddings and other special events," said Cathy McKeever, director of sales and marketing, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas. "We are giving our guests yet another way to experience the miles of beautiful scenery, towering red rocks and breathtaking views the lake has to offer."
Beginning at 5 p.m., the public event will be attended by Glen Canyon National Recreation Area Superintendent, Kitty Roberts; Mayor, City of Page, Dan Brown; Coconino Board of Supervisors County Manager, Steve Peru; Field Representative for Congressman Jim Matheson, Michael Emprey; Vice President, Lake Powell Resorts & Marinas, Gib Johnson; and National Director of Marketing, ARAMARK Harrison Lodging, Brian Murphy. The event will feature the yacht's inaugural voyage as well as hors d'ouerves, cocktails and the official ribbon cutting ceremony.
The luxurious, 96-foot Canyon Princess features richly appointed climate controlled cherry wood salons, a curved grand staircase and large open-air decks. With a full-service bar, dining on two levels and a large dance floor, the Canyon Princess can accommodate more than 100 guests for weddings, chartered events and other special celebrations. The 2007 schedule of events for the Canyon Princess includes: regularly scheduled dinner cruises, star gazing tours and more.
