Alliance Hospitality Hires Heather Detlefson As General Manager At Gunter Hotel In San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO, July 16, 2015 -- Alliance Hospitality, a premier hotel management company, announced today that Heather Detlefson has been hired as General Manager for its Sheraton Gunter hotel property located in San Antonio, Texas. Rolf Tweeten, Chairman of the Board for Alliance Hospitality, made the announcement.
Heather brings over 15 years of industry experience to the Alliance Hospitality organization.
Prior to joining Alliance she served as General Manager of the Embassy Suites Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. Under her direction the Embassy Suites consistently placed first in STR rankings. She also implemented an aggressive revenue management strategy that resulted in her hotel serving as a consistent rate driver in the market.
Developed in 1909, the iconic Gunter Hotel San Antonio was the City's largest building at the time. Situated in the heart of downtown, the property features 322 guestrooms, 23,000 square feet of meeting and conference room space, Barron's Restaurant, the famous Gunter Bakery and additional casual restaurant and lounge options. The hotel is situated adjacent to the San Antonio Riverwalk and is proximate to an array of shopping and dining choices.
