Michael Newman Joins Doubletree-Times Square as DOSM

NEW YORK, NY, April 3, 2007. Hilton Hotels Corporation is pleased to announce that Michael Newman has been named Director of Sales & Marketing at the Doubletree Guest Suites-Times Square, where he will lead sales efforts for the only all-suite hotel in one New York City's most exciting neighborhood destinations.

Mr. Newman joins Doubletree from the Grand Hyatt New York, where he served as Director of Sales & Marketing since 2005. He previously was Director of Sales & Marketing at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City, NJ. During his 12-year tenure with the Hyatt organization, he also held managerial sales posts at hotels in the Washington, DC, area.

A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Newman holds a B.A. degree in Hospitality Management.

In 2006, the Doubletree Guest Suites-Times Square completed a $12 million renovation, transforming the property into a modern, upscale destination for business and leisure travelers. Redesigned in vibrant blues and greens, with earth-tone accents, each hotel guest room is a two-room suite thoughtfully appointed with the Sweet Dreams(R) by Doubletree Sleep Experience, flat-screen television, two-line speakerphone, in-room safe, wet-bar, microwave, refrigerator and refreshment center - along with a newly-designed sofa bed that folds down easily for family vacationers.

High-speed internet access is available in all guest rooms and remote guest printing service is available, making it convenient for guests to print 24-hours a day from their room to the hotel's business center.

In addition, hotel features 14 Executive Conference Suites. Perfect for meetings, entertaining and social gatherings, these 629 square foot suites include king-sized bedrooms connected to an upgraded living room and bathroom and a stylish executive board table that can seat 6-8 people.
