San Francisco, CA - May 22, 2014 - The historic Warwick Hotel, located just steps from the City's bustling Union Square neighborhood and its world-class shopping, theaters, and landmark attractions, is pleased to announce that its interior restyle is scheduled for completion June 15, 2014. Overseen by the renowned international design firm UXUS, the hotel's revitalization melds authentic history with modern hospitality to create an experience unlike any other.

With an innovative and artistic approach, the designers at UXUS created a contemporary, yet classic style to the property, honoring the hotel's roots with new life. Departing from the predictable and ordinary, the refashioned property displays a unique sense of place and embodies the spirit of the original 1913 Maryland Hotel-known as the "house of sunshine and hospitality."

Located just two blocks from San Francisco's iconic Union Square, The Warwick San Francisco is a residential-style hideaway offering guests a welcoming contrast to the bustling energy of downtown. The intimate and sophisticated design of the hotel's foyer coupled with the personalized service make guests feel as if they are entering an elegant mansion rather than a hotel. Refined, yet relaxing and still luxurious, the entryway evokes a serene feel layered with historical significance, featuring a fireplace with cozy seating areas, dramatic lighting, and reinvented architectural details. Patterns and textures in hues of greys, browns, and taupes are repeated throughout the space offering a nod to the hotel's original architect, Arthur Brown Jr.'s, iconic City Hall domed ceiling and the Beaux-Arts tradition of ornamental ironwork.

Each of the hotel's 74 individual guest rooms, which includes 20 graciously designed suites, have been refashioned with soft lighting, residential furnishings, and a refined color palate of greys and whites with pops of golden yellow and cobalt blue hues. Original headboards and armoires have been preserved, but updated in modern shades keeping a timeless look and feel while offering a contemporary design element. Historical photographs curated from the San Francisco Public Library archives adorn the walls.

The bar name reflects sensibility and style, expertly mixing old with new, which is also reflected in the drink menu - featuring mostly European spirits, aperitifs, a selection of champagnes by the glass and bottle, lower-proof cocktails with a regional twist, as well as "Now & Then" pairings consisting of a contemporary cocktail served alongside a drink in its vintage form.
