Gifts of Appreciation Promote New Hotel's Location to Cab Drivers

. February 19, 2014

February 19, 2014 - Manhattan's newest Westin hotel showed some "love" to taxi drivers during a two-day Valentine's Day event, despite a snowstorm that blanketed New York. The Westin New York Grand Central celebrated Valentine's Day by showing appreciation for New York City yellow cab drivers, with a brand-building promotion that reinforced the hotel's location.

On Thursday February 13 and Friday February 14, hundreds of taxis stopped by the hotel on 42nd between 2nd and 3rd Avenues to receive complimentary gifts of appreciation including branded coffee mugs, keychains and air fresheners. Taxies also entered to win a complimentary overnight stay and dinner for two at the hotel's restaurant, THE LCL: Bar & Kitchen.
