HFTP Represents Hospitality Finance and Technology at CMAA World Conference and Club Business Expo

Austin, Texas, USA - February 5, 2014 - As a continued show of support, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) is sponsoring three educational sessions focused on finance and technology for the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA)World Conference and Club Business Expo taking place February 4 - 8, 2014 in Orlando, Fla.

The first of these sessions will be held Tuesday, February 4, from 2:45-4:15 p.m. This session entitled, "Accounting 101-Financial Statement Basics That Every Executive Must Know," will be presented by HFTP member and former HFTP Global Board director Phillip Newman, CIA, CPA, of McGladrey LLP.

From 1:15-2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, in a session presented by HFTP member Ned McCrory, CPA with Batchelor Frechette McCrory Michael & Co., "Financial Planning for Capital Improvements," will discuss the pros and cons of debt or assessment and ways to structure the debt financing needed to meet a club's capital needs.

The last of the HFTP sponsored sessions entitled "Technology Innovation and What Lies Ahead for Clubs and Members: A CEO Panel Discussion with the Builders and Innovators," will take place from 8:45-10:15 a.m. on Thursday, February 6. Panelists include: Barry Symons, CEO, Jonas Software; Kevin Kopanon, CEO, MembersFirst, Inc.; Prasad Suryadevara, CEO, Northstar Technologies, Inc.; Ray McDonald, CEO, ClubSoft North America; Dr. William Ivers, CEO, Clubessential, LLC.

HFTP will also participate in the Club Business Expo portion of the conference to be held February 7 - 8, 2014. Representatives from the organization can be found in booth #810 and are available to answer attendee inquiries regarding membership, conferences, certifications and more.

HFTP's participation in these events is part of its strategic plan to collaborate with hospitality-focused and ownership associations with the goal of sharing resources.
