Newest Luxury Hotel in Swiss Alpine Resort Will Feature Exclusive Retreats with Renowned Anti-aging, Skincare Gurus

GSTAAD, Switzerland - November 21, 2013 - The Alpina Gstaad, aims to become one of the leading spa destinations in the Alps. When it reopens for the season on December 6, Gstaad's newest luxury hotel will introduce a program of Holistic Wellness Retreats and launch Alpina Life Cuisine that will feature a spa menu and selection of detox juices. To start off the New Year right, the hotel will welcome three of the world's leading anti-aging and skincare gurus in January and February. The hotel's 21,500 square-foot Six Senses Spa will be the epicenter of events hosted by Dr. Philippe Allouche of Biologique Recherche, Dr. med Erich Schulte, founder of QMS Medicosmetics and Denise Leicester creator of Ila.

  • On January 10, 2014, the charismatic founder of Biologique Recherche Dr. Allouche and his team from Paris will host a complementary three-hour wellness event, "Champagne, Chocolate & Creams," performing the latest rejuvenation techniques and skin tests with diagnostic equipment.

  • During the two-day QMS Perfect Aging Rejuvenation Retreat (February 2 & 3), guests will meet the renowned Dr. Shulte and his specially trained therapists who will give personal skincare consultations as well as a choice of QMS treatments. A special session for men includes information on how to incorporate skincare into their busy modern lifestyle. Day events without accommodations are free of charge. The two-night package in a single Deluxe Room with breakfast starts at 900 Swiss francs (CHF) (about $1,005).

  • The three-day Ila Rejuvenation & Rest Retreat (March 9-12) is hosted by ila founder, Denise Leicester, a yogi and nurse whose philosophy is based on the power of healing energy. She has created a superb line of organic skin and spa products made of the finest natural plant and mineral ingredients. The ila retreat includes gentle chakra yoga, breath meditation, yoga kriyas, early morning Nordic walking, morning pages and journaling, sound healing through chanting, sessions in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), daily ila spa treatments and light detoxifying meals at lunch and dinner. In addition to the retreats, new Holistic Wellness programs will focus on preventative care, promoting a complete immersion into healthy and mindful living. Led by the hotel's own highly-experienced resident practitioners including Antonis Sarris, named one of the world's best therapists by Spa Finder, and Ayurvedic consultant Manu Manikantan, the programs last three, five and seven days and aim to reconnect the body through special techniques that combine unique approaches to stimulate, energize, restore and create harmony.

  • Integrating the natural environment, the Sense of Alpina program uses local alpine plants and herbs in its spa treatments to refresh and nourish the body. Between Alpina Swiss facials and massages, the spa encourages daily walks and outdoor activities. Prices start from CHF 2,940 (about $3,295) for three nights in a single Deluxe Room.
  • Those wanting to cleanse and invigorate the body will be drawn to the Sense of Detox, which accesses the body's natural healing process to encourage growth and regeneration leaving guests refreshed and energized. Treatments include an ila Detox bandage wrap and an ila Ku Nye Body Work. Prices start at CHF 3,340 (about $3,740) for three nights in a single Deluxe Room.
  • The Sense of Ayurveda is inspired by its Sanskrit name, "life knowledge" and combines the traditional Indian art of healing with activities to improve sleep, reduce stress and fatigue and delay the natural signs of ageing. Prices start at CHF 3,095 (about $3,465) for three nights in a single Deluxe Room.
  • For those wanting to improve their fitness and general well being, the Sense of Fitness, Movement and Balance is the ideal program. Personal trainers will assess guests' fitness levels and develop a plan with cardiovascular, strength training, flexibility exercises and muscle toning - all geared to boost metabolism. Prices start at CHF 2,665 (about $2,985) in a single Deluxe Room.
  • The three-day Sense of Beauty program indulges guests in some of the spa's signature treatments to replenish and hydrate the skin, helping guests regain their glow after over-indulging during the holidays. Treatments include: a Triple Life Mountain Facial, a Lifting/Slimming toning treatment from Biologique Recherche and the Alpina Collagen & Oxygen Facial by QMS Medicosmetics. Prices start from CHF 3,160 (about $3,540) for three nights in a single Deluxe Room.
