Denver, Colorado / Orange County, California - November 19, 2013 - HREC is pleased to announce that Mark Mitroka, Senior Vice President, in the newly opened Orange County, California office was appointed to the Broad College Alumni Association Board at the annual meeting of the Board held on October 11th in East Lansing. Mr. Mitroka will serve a three year term on the Board effective January 1, 2014.
The primary focus of the Alumni Board is to create programs that continue to engage alumni in activities and networking opportunities; foster career experiences and open doors for students in highly competitive business environments; establish scholarships and facility excellence funding; and offer industry connections to provide feedback, and resources for research centers and to enrich the student curriculum. Alumni Board members are asked to serve as ambassadors to the wider business community and bring their individual talents, skills and insights to enrich the MSU student experience.
"I am very humbled to have been asked to join the Broad college Alumni Board and I look forward to working with all of the other experienced and dedicated board members to continue to serve the Broad College of Business and our great university," stated Mitroka.
"As we were looking to add new alumni to this year's class of board members, we were seeking to add California based alumni. We also were looking for alumni who could bring additional international or investment banking experience to the group. Mark's background fit all of these desirable criteria. I am excited to again be working with Mark after 25 years since our graduation from the Hospitality program," expressed Rick Rowe, Alumni Board Treasurer.
