Hotusa Hotels Adds 253 New Associated Hotels in the First Nine Months of 2013

The Spanish company, which is the first consortium of independent hotels in the world according to Hotels Mag, consolidates its international expansion with the addition of 160 new overseas establishments

Barcelona - October 16, 2013 - During the first nine months of 2013, Hotusa Hotels have enlarged their portfolio with 250 new associated establishments, 93 of which are in Spain . International additions include 160 overseas hotels in 26 European, American and African countries . Thus, the company's consortium of independent hotels, which occupies the first position in the world ranking according to a recent study published by the prestigious magazine Hotels Mag, continues its consolidation trend in Spain and, at the same time, reinforces its international expansion.

Europe is the continent which has experienced the greatest increase in the number of overseas hotels , with 109 new establishments in 16 countries . Hotusa Hotels have thus added 31 new hotels to their portfolio in France, a country that experienced the greatest growth. Also worthy of note has been the important expansion in Morocco during the last nine months, where the company added 20 hotels . In Spain, Catalonia is the region with the greatest number of new associated hotels (21), followed by Andalusia (12) and Madrid (11).

A list of the countries with new associated hotels is included hereunder: Andorra (3 hotels), Argentina (3), Austria (3), Belgium (1), Bolivia (1), Brazil (5), Chile (3) Colombia (9), Croatia (1), the Czech Republic (3), the Dominican Republic (1), France (31), Germany (3), Hungary (2), Italy (16), Morocco (20), Mexico (3), the Netherlands (10), Nicaragua (1), Poland (1), Portugal (11), Russia (2) and Turkey (11), United Kingdom (11) and United States (5). The 90 new Spanish hotels included in the company's portfolio are located in the following regions: Andalusia (12), Aragon (5), Balearic Islands (1), the Basque Country (3), Canary Islands (8), Cantabria (1), Catalonia (23), Castile and Leon (8), Castile - La Mancha (3), Community of Madrid (11), Galicia (5), La Rioja (2), Murcia (2), Navarra (2) and the Valencian Community (7).

Hotusa Hotels is currently the first consortium of independent hotels in the world with more than 2,600 associated establishments located in 27 European destinations, 17 countries in America, 4 in Asia and 4 in Africa . The company's strategy consists of seeking hotels in the main tourist destinations . 4 star hotels have experienced the greatest increase, with a total of 128 new associated establishments which fall into this category.
