BK-Investments & Waterford Hotel Group Open Residence Inn by Marriott at Chicopee Crossing in MA
CHICOPEE, MA - October 15, 2013 - A ribbon cutting ceremony was held recently to mark the opening of the new Residence Inn by Marriott in Chicopee. A distinguished group of dignitaries, including State Senator James Welch and State Representative Michael Finn, joined hotel ownership and Waterford Hotel Group representatives at the ceremony to officially introduce the new hotel. Located at 500 Memorial Drive, the hotel is owned by BK-Investments, will operate as a Marriott franchise, and will be managed by Waterford Hotel Group of Waterford, Connecticut.

The Opechee Construction Corporation of Belmont, NH served as contractor and architect for the hotel. PeoplesBank of Holyoke is serving as the lead lender for the hotel project. Additionally, Granite State Development Corp was the Certified Development Company used to secure Small Business Administration financing for the project. The new hotel will employ approximately 45 full and part time associates.
