Rim Hospitality to Serve as Development and Hotel Managers for Yosemite Gardens Park Project in CA

. September 12, 2013

Newport Beach, CA - September 12, 2013 - The Yosemite Gardens Park development team has selected Rim Hospitality, one of the leading hotel management companies in North America, as the exclusive hospitality development and management company. With a projected ground breaking date as early as 2014, Rim Hospitality is currently considering and selecting hotel brands for the property's new accommodations.

The Yosemite Gardens Park will be located on a 782-acre site in Jamestown, CA only 45 miles from Yosemite National Park, and will serve as both an additional attraction and a stand-alone destination for the 6 million tourists that visit the area annually. The park will include a 100-acre botanical gardens complex modeled after the successful Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC, a 450,000 sq ft. retail center and a youth baseball and sports complex modeled after the Cooperstown Dreams Park Youth Sports Complex in Cooperstown, NY. Additionally, the park will capitalize on the opportunity to attract the existing "Gold Country" tourists whom visit nearby wineries, ski resorts, golf courses, and casinos.

To accommodate Yosemite Gardens Park visitors, the park hotels will boast over 1,600 new rooms. The park will be built in partnership with Rim Hospitality and the selected hotel chains and will fulfill the current shortage of existing area lodging and on-site parking.

"We are honored to be the exclusive hospitality managers for Yosemite Gardens Park," stated Mark LeBlanc, senior vice president of development at Rim Hospitality. "Given that this property will address the lack of accommodations in the Gold Country area and will capitalize upon the existing 6-million tourists whom visit annually, we're confident in the park's investment and its ability to attract travelers for years to come."

The development process began in May 2012, and groundbreaking is expected as early as the end of 2014, pending environmental approvals. The company expects a 30-month construction period for the hotels, during which time surrounding attractions will be simultaneously developed. The park's Grand Opening is slated for approximately June 2016.
