September 10, 2013 - As one of Pacific Asia Travel Association's (PATA) newest members, Dorsett Hospitality International will be participating for the first time ever at the PATA Travel Mart 2013 which will be held coincidentally for the first time in Chengdu, China, the home ground for Dorsett Hospitality International's newest hotel, the 556-room Dorsett Grand Chengdu.

Headquartered in Hong Kong, Dorsett Hospitality International (Stock Code HKEx 2266), is a spin-off from Far East Consortium Limited. The group currently owns and manages 18 hotels in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia; with 7 more opening within the next 12 to 24 months in Mainland China, Hong Kong and United Kingdom under three brands of different tiers ranging from upscale to midscale and value-led. The three brands are d.Collection featuring a series of boutique hotels; Dorsett Hotels & Resorts comprising upscale Dorsett Grand and midscale Dorsett; and value-led Silka Hotels.

Leading the Dorsett Hospitality International's delegation at PATA Travel Mart 2013 is Philip Schaetz, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The delegation comprises General Managers and Directors of Sales & Marketing from the group's portfolio of hotels namely Dorsett Singapore, Dorsett Wuhan, Dorsett Grand Chengdu and Dorsett Regency Kuala Lumpur. Dorsett Hospitality International's booth is located at the Corporate Zone, booth F03.

Most recently, the group acquired another property which is located in the southern side of Lushan mountain, Xingzi County, the northern part of Jiangxi Province, PRC which is expected to be operational towards end of 2013,” added Philip Schaetz.

With this latest addition, the group is definitely moving forward in realising its objective of doubling the number of hotels in its portfolio with an inventory of more than 8000 rooms.

In conjunction with PTM 2013, Dorsett Hospitality International will also play host to 150 PATA Executive Board Members and PATA Board Members at a dinner to be held at Dorsett Grand Chengdu on 14 September 2013. The upscale Dorsett Grand Chengdu, located at the famous historical Luoma Market area of Chengdu, the neighbouring bustling downtown Chunxi Road; and renowned Chengdu sports centre, offers easy accessibility for both business and leisure travellers; with the Metro Line 1 and 4 directly in front of the hotel.

The hotel's 556 spacious guestrooms and suites are well furnished with a full array of amenities, contemporary and innovative decor; and each one offer an inviting ambience complemented with modern facilities such as iPod dock and complimentary high speed internet access to ensure instant connectivity.

The hotel's meeting and business facilities include the pillar free Multi-functional hall with more than 700 sq meters of meeting space and eight private meeting rooms. Other facilities available at Dorsett Grand Chengdu include the Fu Xue Xuan Chinese Restaurant, Yue Rong Cafe and the Lobby Lounge as well as a well-equipped gymnasium.

PTM 2013 is not the only major trade shows that Dorsett Hospitality International will be participating. Next month, the group will also attend ITB Asia 2013 to be held in Singapore with an even stronger delegation and will host a Rooftop Party together with the group's strategic partner, Diamond Resorts International at the group's first hotel in Singapore, Dorsett Singapore on 23 October 2013.
